Dr. Bailey helps students achieve their highest potential while enjoying learning. Instilling confidence and pride in each student’s flute/piccolo playing, she teaches all levels of flute/ piccolo to third graders through adults. Students of Dr. Bailey’s earn top honors in ensembles and competitions, participate in youth orchestras, and have gone on to major in music.
Dr. Bailey creates a community within her studio through private lessons, studio classes, small ensembles and recitals. She excels at helping struggling students succeed and challenging advanced students to reach even higher levels of success!
Dr. Bailey substitutes with Symphony of the Southwest, performs with DEF Project (Chamber, Flute Choir & CFC) & the National Flute Association Professional Flute Choir (2013-2023).

Katrina King enjoys a fully enriched musical life as a respected, professional flutist and flute instructor. Currently playing principal flute with the Symphony of the Southwest, she is also a frequent substitute with the Arizona Opera. Katrina enjoys playing recitals with a vast array of instruments. Miss King participated with a small orchestra live on television in America’s Got Talent. In 2023, she was accepted to perform a flute and clarinet duet world premiere for the annual conventions for both the International Clarinet Association (Denver, CO) and the National Flute Association (Phoenix, AZ).
Katrina enjoys giving private lessons in her home or online using Zoom, always with a caring and nurturing environment. Miss King’s students excel with higher quality playing than classmates, students frequently winning the Arizona Flute Society’s Annual Flute Festival and Competition in a variety of categories, as well as placements in high school All Region and All State groups.
Katrina also enjoys working with students returning to the flute after many years of “taking a break.” She helps refine their skills so they can enjoy whatever they wish to play again: community bands, flute choirs, playing in their worship services or whatever their heart desires!

Dr. Sabrina Hu enjoys a versatile career as a performer and educator. She has performed in many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City, the National Concert Hall in Ireland, Beijing University, the Central Conservatory of Music in China, and recitals in Seoul, Korea. Sabrina’s performances have been broadcast live on BBC and RTHK radio and TV. Her performances have been described as “warm, sensitively balanced and flexible” with “emotional engagement…expressive depth” by the Irish Times. Sabrina has been flute faculty at Rhodes College in Memphis in TN, Lycoming College in PA, the National University of Ireland in Maynooth, and Michigan State University as a teaching assistant. Sabrina has worked in several orchestras, including the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, the Wexford Opera Orchestra, the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. She is a passionate and devoted teacher and has taught a private studio of young flutist who have won competitions and have been accepted to many prestigious festivals. Sabrina believes in inspiring students and working with them at their current level and abilities to bring out the best in every student.

Carol Mellis is an experienced, exceptional flute instructor. Her nurturing style propels her students forward to reach their greatest potential. Carol's students have received awards at the AFS Solo Competition and the Phoenix Youth Symphony Solo Competition. In 2021, all six of Carol's high school flute students who auditioned were selected for Arizona Regionals. Her private students have been selected by audition for All-State, Phoenix Symphony Youth Orchestra, National Flute Association High School Flute Choir, Interlochen Summer Music Camp and college music programs (including University of Southern California, ASU, UofA, NAU and Grand Canyon University).
Carol is Director of Musician Enrichment Foundation (MEF) Band and Flute Camps and MEF Chamber Ensembles. She is Adjunct Flute Professor at Scottdale Community College teaching private flute lessons, Flute Ensemble and Woodwind Chamber Ensemble. Carol has many years of experience teaching band, grades 4-12. She is a professional performer of classical and jazz music.

Music has been the center of Armando's musical universe since he began learning music at the age of 10. In his high school years Armando performed with the prestigious Youngsounds of Arizona, and in college with Tucson Swings. He received his Bachelor’s of Music in Jazz Studies at the University of Arizona where he studied music education, composition, arranging, and was heavily involved in the athletic bands, including the marching and pep bands. Armando is involved in many other aspects of music, including arranging for marching bands, writing film and video game scores, and music therapy. He plays and teaches instruments including saxophone, clarinet, flute, native american flute, didgeridoo, piano, and ukulele. His outside interests include illustrating, movies, voice acting and reading, Armando currently teaches private music lessons in the Glendale, AZ area and performs solo and with various music groups at local events and venues.

Michelle Stolper is the Principal Flutist of the West Valley Symphony and a highly sought-after flute teacher in the North Phoenix area. She plays frequently with The Phoenix Symphony, and performs throughout the valley as a soloist and chamber musician.
Michelle enjoys teaching private lessons in her flute studio, and also directs the flute choirs at Boulder Creek and Mountain Ridge High Schools.
